Monday Weddings?

Monday weddings, is it a new "thing."  I think it is!  Weekday weddings have become more and more common over the past few years.  Usually involving destination couples marrying in RI or Boston and living elsewhere.  It is much less expensive and makes is possible to get and give to your guests much more on your wedding day.   

The entire week was extremely relaxed and stunning, reflective of the couple.  We spent the previous week doing all sorts of fun preparations like an engagement shoot and a boudoir session with the bride as a gift for the groom.  The amount of comfort the couple gained from working with me previously was very very apparent.  Such a great day!

It is no secret I have many places I love to photograph couples, and many venues I cannot say enough great things about.  Today I give a shout out to the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth and Katie.  Together they truly offer the couple everything and more they could need for an easy and stunning ceremony and reception site.  From old stone, water views, dock,  and gardens,  to a bridal suite AND grooms suite for getting ready, not to mention THE best staircase in Rhode Island-if you love stairs.

Exiting the ceremony

One piece of advice I can give anyone getting married is... "please, ignore the photographer and enjoy yourself!"...especially when you are exiting the ceremony, dancing, or just going for a walk. If you just enjoy the fact that you just married each other, the pictures will be great!

This couple had

a superb wedding planned by Jennifer Brinton in the Westerly, RI area. It took place at the stunning Watch Hill Chapel, followed by the reception at the Shelter Harbor Club. It was casual elegance at it's finest, and it suited the couple very very well.

We all fall down!

It doesn't get any better than a big sense of humor. Capturing perfection, beauty, landscape, etc is something that everyone is looking for in wedding images, but what about laughing so hard at the comedic things that happen? What about laughing and playing so hard you fall down trying to do a dip? What about it? Well, it makes for great pictures and a story to talk about alllll night long.

This couple rocked the humor throughout the pictures and then teared up when reliving it through pictures. The Biltmore once again helped make day perfect.
